Taste the beauty of island of Šolta
Leave the hustle and bustle of Split behind for a glorious day discovering wild, beautiful countryside and picturesque villages; the secrets of ancient olive trees; a fabulous swim at a secluded private beach; a delicious Dalmatian lunch with the wine and visit to the authentic, family owned olive mill on the island of Šolta.
Our tour is limited to just 12 guests. It starts with the 45 min ferry trip from Split to Rogač on Šolta. We'll then take a short drive throught the beautiful hills and valleys to our olive grove in the middle of the island. Shaded by these ancient trees, our master grower will reveal why the olive tree has been so celebrated for thousands of years and how it became the symbol of Mediterranean.
After a brief stop to enjoy breathtaking sea views and the air filled with the flavour of Šolta's aromatic plants (which you can pick!), we'll arive in the small village, Gornje Selo, to have lunch in our olive mill. Our lovely hosts will introduce you to the fascinating art of making award winning olive oil. After a tasting, you will be served a typical delicious Dalmatian lunch with local wine and enjoy a short color slide presentation of the history of traditions of Šolta.
After lunch, our private van will take you to one of the Šolta's many secluded beaches, where you can have a fabulous swim (fre changing booths supplied!), rest in the shade of the pines or simply enjoy the sun.
